Supporting genocide-free investing

Reasonable people may disagree about what constitutes socially responsible investing, but few people want their savings to be complicit in genocide.  Join us in asking mutual funds and other investment firms to commit to genocide-free investing.

Mutual funds that have votes scheduled on genocide-free investing

Few funds have shareholder meetings on an annual basis, so predicting dates of upcoming votes usually depends on the fund publishing proxy materials and notices with the SEC.  When these funds do schedule meetings, many of those notices are filed in the spring.

In addition to the proxy votes scheduled for Fidelity on July 15, 2009, we are expecting the following proxy votes on genocide-free investing:

  • The Investment Company of America, from American Funds, in SeptemberAugust 2009.  Proxy materials expected in July.
