How you can help "get out the vote" for the upcoming votes at Fidelity

The campaign for genocide-free investing needs help. We are confident that ordinary investors, once they learn the facts, will support genocide-free investing. You and your organization can help by working with us to get the word out and gain support from many more shareholders. A few of the things you can do are:
  • Help spread the word about the upcoming votes at Fidelity. You can play a key role, even if you are not a Fidelity shareholder! Raise awareness at your workplace, with your friends and family, in your group, and in your community.
  • Forward this email text to your friends and ask them to support genocide-free investing.
  • Write a letter to the editor of your local paper. Click here for a sample.
Most local weekly newspapers (not the large metropolitan dailies) will publish all letters to the editor received from town residents. You can easily find the email address by searching for your paper on the Internet. You will most likely find instructions on submitting a letter to the editor in the "Opinion" section. To make it easy, we’ve drafted a sample letter that you can cut and paste into an email and send to your hometown paper.
  • Raise awareness at your workplace, especially if your employer offers Fidelity funds in its 401k or 403b plan. Get your company and co-workers involved. Click here for suggestions on what you can do.
  • Make a donation. We have the opportunity to send a mailing to Fidelity shareholders but lack the necessary funding. We know that once ordinary investors become aware that their savings are being used to fund genocide, they will vote overwhelmingly in favor of genocide-free investing. A mailing to shareholders would allow us to directly reach those with the power to vote. We need to raise $20,000 to finance a minimal mailing. We are a volunteer-based organization so 100% of your contribution will go directly to voter outreach.
  • Publicize the campaign to your group's members via email to your list, website, internal magazines and bulletins.
  • Provide a statement of support from your group.
  • Contact friendly organizations/foundations that may have large shares to vote.
  • Use the campaign materials that we've provided.
  • Contact us with your ideas and interest in working together on this campaign. Thanks for your help!
