What to do if the automated email does not work
Our Home, Take Action, and various Company pages offer the option to send an email message and object to multiple companies or to an individual company where you invest. Occasionally, due to the configuration of a personal computer, the automated set up of the email fails to work. If the automated email does not work, you can send a message on your own, using your normal email arrangement, whatever it may be.
Please take the extra minute to send a message. Your voice, in combination with many thousands of others, can have real impact. Note that you don't have to be customer since these companies want you to become a customer, now or in the future.
Here's how to send a message:
- Start your email program and create a new message.
- In the TO field, enter one or more of the email addresses from the table below. Note that the first entry allows you to simply copy and paste all the addresses at once.
- In the CC field, enter Info@InvestorsAgainstGenocide.org
- In the SUBJECT field, enter "I object to your investments in Sudan" or some other text you may choose.
- In the BODY of the email, enter your message. You can use a simple, standard message, or compose a message that is more personal and powerful.
- Here is a short, standard message for a company where you invest:
I am a concerned citizen and customer. I urge you to completely divest the PetroChina, Sinopec, ONGC, and Petronas stocks held by your firm. If you fail to quickly take these steps, it will negatively impact my relationship with your firm. - Here is a short, standard message for all the companies, even though you may not invest there:
I am a concerned citizen. I urge you to completely divest the PetroChina, Sinopec, ONGC, and Petronas stocks held by your firm. If you fail to quickly take these steps, I will lose interest in any future relationship with your firm.
